American model Kate Upton is best known for her appearance in the 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She has also modeled for Guess and Beach Bunny swimwear.She was born into a political family, and her uncle is Michigan congressman Fred Upton. After her family moved to Florida, the future blonde bombshell soon discovered that she enjoyed the prospect of frolicking on the beach more than the idea of debating bills in Congress.

From young age Kate Upton had dreams of being a model, but her lack of height proved a drawback.but at age 15, everything changed,and she rocketed up to a height of 5’9”. Fresh off the high of her sudden growth spurt and feeling confident that her natural looks would lend themselves well to the modeling arena.In 2008 she signed with Elite Model Management.

Besides serving as a model for Dooney & Bourke, she was hired by Guess.With Guess, Upton celebrated her status as a bona fide model by showcasing a racier side through lingerie ads for the company in 2010, which resulted a sudden hype in her career.Kate Upton’s biggest 2011 highlight came when she was selected to appear in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.She made the cut as a featured paint model, meaning that she wore carefully-placed body paint rather than a swimsuit.She was further honored by Sports Illustrated by being named the 2011 Swimsuit Issue Rookie of the Year.
